Hello everyone,
I have been accepted to attend RDTC. I spoke with my recruiter and because I am from Ohio, she mentioned midwest regional. My questions are:
Other than hometime, what are advantages of regional?
More miles with flat, van or refer?
What is the training center like/ How many people per class/truck?
What kind of equipemnt does Roehl typically run?
Thanks for the info!

I ran Midwest Regional out of NE Indiana. The advantage is they run you hard, you're home every weekend, but often only for a reset. You're almost always home under a load. The disadvantage, you make .02cpm less than a national driver, even though they run you harder than your national counterpart. (At least on flatbed anyway).
Now I run National 11/3, and train new drivers on flatbed.

I am just finishing up here at RDTC...it is an excellent school. Well organized and keeps you busy. It's well planned out, the past few weeks have gone quick and I've learned much. Best way I can put it is things seem to be run efficiently at Roehl. The training center is clean, warm, and servicable, it's not a palace. The trainers I have dealt with are great. They know their stuff and also know how to put you in a position to learn the skills necessary to drive.

Thanks for all the responses. Just have to get a physical and then set a start date in late March early April.

Most likely early April. I had my physical a week ago, and just got my start date today for 3/25.
