Hope ya got money on that Oshkosh load. Every broker I've ever called in the last several months with an Oshkosh load has offered at best a buck eighty. Going to ####t freight areas no less. Not to mention outbound wis freight easily pays north of 2 bucks/mile
Ill never call on another one of those.....unless I have the top deck of the step already sold with LTL foor cha ching money... (grin)

Agreed, you would think that as badly as our govenrment likes handing out money now-days that their freight would pay a little better to the people working hard to make an honest buck. It is pitiful what that equipment moves for once the broker takes their cut. Oshkosh is one place where it makes more sense to take a brokered load (God-forbid you ever have to from there) from a company's perspective than to get into a government contract and comply with all the labor regulations. Once you're over 10K annually and have >50 employees in your company the regulations get piled on.Winchester Magnum Thanks this.

Mileage, so it would pay me the same regardless. Also the percentage wouldn't work out to my advantage on some of the loads the company I lease to haul. I really like the company though.

Paid very well. Most loads out of there do not pay good, but these tankers do only because it requires hazmat and tanker endorsement to haul it. So the haz-pay makes up for the regular lower rates.Winchester Magnum Thanks this.
