that could realy depend on the accident,if your thinking about leasing on somewhere i would call and talk to the recruiters.being off the road since the accident could be hurting just as much.

Don't take a chance wasting money buying a truck, only to find out you can't work. Try to find a company driver job & work it for a couple of years before going the 0/0 route. Here's some companies that may consider you; they have occassionaly given a driver a break; apply online with them all:
Hirschbach Motor Lines
Falcon Transport
K&B Transportation
Carolina Cargo
Western Express
Paschall Truck Lines
Buel Inc.
Gray Transportation
Apergis Transportation
Navajo
Your biggest obstacle will be, you haven't driven for a year. You may be required to go through a refresher course first. The companies will probably tell you if they require it. -
go to layover.com and fill out a application.one app goes to alot of companies.they will call you if they can help you

I can't say I have ever driven a truck at a point I was so tired I would fall asleep, tired sure, but when it's time to pull over I pull over. Having a family, I have to much respect for other lives, be grateful you didn't kill someone & find another career!! Sorry to you if I come off blunt or rude, but let's face it, that was extremely poor judgement on your part, which is probably the reason you can't find work. No one can make you drive.
Just to add, with CSA you are a red flag hire, it will be a uphill battle for you. I know it's a tough decision for some guys, should they drive that tired or deal with the aftermath? Hopefully you learned to always chose your CDL & life over a deadline. -
we all make mistakes i have learned from it...
