    Now,now, I was just teasing.... :biggrin_25525:

You're correct, the atlas is a tool my truck will not roll without. However, I also carry a laptop with MS Streets on it. This is my GPS and trip planner since it puts the entire map on one screen and shows the same routing (amber for truck routes). It also will get down to small streets in a city. I have also downloaded (free) a master POI file which shows all truckstop, rest areas, and scale houses. I add in pushpins for customers, company drop yards, low bridges that I encounter. I cross check against the atlas for low bridges, weight/length limits and state axle weights.

All tools can have a use. It's up to you to use them correctly. :biggrin_2558:

The large print is also good if you are not always going to big city's. It will show more small towns that the regular atlas left off. I sometimes go to places the regular atlas doesn't show and google doesn't have the slightest idea?

    Well I will admit,
I have MPS Manual positioning System, and still like to call receivers, But I also own a Rand Mcnally TND710 with lifetime maps... I do not rely on just one of the three I have to apply common sense when driving especially when relying on a MAP (made by a human) Directions (from another human) and a GPS (made by a human, sounds like a human, but also makes mistakes like a human) common sense being the best denomination I have If it is a new area to deliver in, I sure am glad to have a CB to ask others to confirm or reject any of the three other choices..

Just my way of getting somewhere
