Hey I am new to the forum and I need help folks. I have few tickets back in 2010 for being stupid, young and not mature I messed up being time and realized what a big mistake I made back then .
I have always wanted to be a trucker and I got my CDL last month but i have a hard time getting hired , so far I have been rejected by most big carriers like Swift,Cr england,Crst and others like Arnold,Maverick because of my moving violations they said it is too much.
I lived in Upstate NY and got a ticket for seat belt in small town and pleaded not guilty because I was actually wearing it , So they told me they will let me know of my court date so they some how send it to a wrong address I moved from, after a while I was driving and I got pull over for loud muffler and the officer told me My Drivers license is suspended and gave a ticket for that ,
I wasn't making enough money for rent and gas and couldn't pay for my ticket so I didn't pay the ticket and applied a job in Alaska as a seafood processor on a fishing vessel .I thought i dont have to drive and get any more tickets so I left my car in my friends house and forget to take the plates back to the DMV. so the insurance got cancelled and there was insurance laps and my DL was revoked after a year untill 2012 . that is when I paid all my tickets plus all the insurance lapse which cost me almost 2,000 to get just clear up my DL and reinstated . NY DMV told me that I have no DL any more but I can come to their office and get new one .
So I went to Texas when I came back to the US mainland and I had to start over the whole process, I did the Permit and then Drivers license and then my CDL , So the copy of my MVR and it says FTA Citations pay fines and penalties about four of them and expired or driver's license in on of them. all those are from July 2010 to Jan 2011 .
Please give your insight on this weird situtions and any company that will hire me , I would do anything even Oil field thanks

Try these companies with online applications; sometimes they give drivers a break. Apply to all of them :
Hirschbach Motor Lines

Carolina Cargo
Western Express
Paschall Truck Lines
Buel Inc.
Gray Transportation
Apergis Transportationcritters, BubbaTrucker and mje Thank this. -

All things considered, you might have to devote some time to cleaning up your record. I get the mistakes and youthful indiscretions, but potential employers are going to want some time to have elapsed to prove your reliability and show that you are going to take care of your business a little bit more efficiently. No offense, but look at it from their eyes- when you are young, you have to prove your value. When you are young and have a few indiscretions, you have to prove you won't do it again IN ADDITION TO proving your worth.
If you are looking for an OTR job, try the companies Chinatown mentioned. Another route would be getting a local job driving something along the lines of a beer or coca-cola truck. That will keep you fresh and allow you to build up some to show your reliability.
Whatever happens, good luck to you. -

You definitely are going to have a problem getting hired on with the larger mega-carriers. That can actually be to your benefit though. Aim for the smaller mom and pop companies and I think your chances of success will be much greater.
Good luck....
