This occurred in Kentwood Michigan and is just a few miles down the road from the Gerald Ford/Kent County GRR Airport. 0230 in the morning and the lights are switched to flashing red and flashing yellow. The tractor trailer had the right of way, it appears that the car just blew the flashing red. Not sure if it was Tbone or if the car went under the trailer, either way the car lost.

loolooks like the trucking industry needs more regulations to protect the innocent 4 wheelers from the evil truck drivers...heres but another example.

    #### those truck drivers, not stopping on a flashing yellow light, should have been ashamed, just running down a car like that. :biggrin_2556:

I am sure the one driving the car said that the red light was off when they entered the intersection ... lol Well I hope the car driver came out of it all in good shape... even if the first thing done will be to get a lawyer since all them trucks have big insurance on them.

I like your title better than the article in the link... They always find a way to demonize the truck(er).

For what? To find some way to blame the truck? The guy blows a red and paid the price, WTH do you need witnesses for?

Well I didn't put up a link for the woodtv news 8 report of the crash, it's just as bad. Looks like a lot of poor reporting. I'm afraid that with the way news has changed with the internet, etc... the quality of news reporting maybe out the door too.

Well that is sad to hear that he died in the crash, you would think that would teach people to stop for red lights...but red lights have been around a long time and the rule to stop has been around but people just do not understand why you should stop. Well, I guess it could have been worse...still a sad thing.

Kid was confused, first it was red, then it was off, then it was red, then it was off,

There were skid marks every 20 feet leading up to the intersection.

    /sarcasm.
