I have only worked for one of the companies you have listed. That is TMC. I worked for them for nearly 17 years from May 1994 to Feb 2011. For the most part I really liked working there. And there are many things I miss about them. If they could have continued to get me home the last several years like they did the first 10 years, I'd likely still be there. They have good training for new guys, pretty good equipment, and, in many little ways I didn't appreciate till I had left, have things worked out pretty well.

TMC, BTC, Maverick, Boyd are in my opinion some of the best flatbed companies out there. Each have good training to get the job done right and safe.

I'd say the one that fits your needs (hometime, type of runs, pay scale, etc). No one can really make a choice for you. We all know who the good and bad ones are, but one size does not fit all. Some are successful with companies like Werner or Swift, despite their shortcomings.

    It really depends..
TMC is a Flatbed Company, and the rest are Dry Van.
    Swift has Flatbeds (mainly Vans)
    Not too sure about Roehl.

Thought they might do Flats, but wasn't really sure..
So if he prefers one (Flats/Van (Reefer)) over the other that would make a big difference.

I have a friend that just went Solo with Stevens, and just from some of the stuff he told me I wouldn't consider them.
I don't want to do Flats.

As an inexperienced Driver, for me..from what I have heard/read.
    Schneider/Roehl/Swift (in that order).

I also would only go to Roehl if I could make a regular Fleet Work, no Hometime + Fleet or whatever they call them, I will not Slip Seat period.
