steve have you ever delt with ptsd? it seems like you have no experience in this reguard, just an observation, since you think someone with ptsd will just snap! If you do not have any experience in this reguard, or especially have not served, especially in the special forces- whichever branch you want, keep your biased opionions to yourself, because then it's just B.S. someone just snapping can happen to anyone - ptsd involved or not.

those who do not have any experience themselves in dealing with ptsd, should just SHUT THE F..K UP! Unless you have experienced ptsd you have no clue what you are talking about, and a side note ptsd does not "GO AWAY" from taking a majical pill, you have to man up and deal, and those that have never been there should just shut their flaapin jaws!dutchieinquebec and aiwiron Thank this.

Razor zipper I guess you know everything about it don't you. Funny how I have friends that I served with that have been diagnosed with PTSD and everyone of them are controlled with therapy and medication. They are not all on the same medication as some medications work for some and don't for others. So I wonder why they are on medication if it doesn't help them out I'm pretty sure that the government wouldn't provide it unless it helped. Then again what do I know right. Again I will say to you that I have served my country in the Army for eight years. I have seen and delt with people in military life and in civilian life with PTSD. Also PTSD is not just a military disorder it happens to civilians also that have survived horrific events. I guess you already know all that now don't you? I guess you have seen the roller coaster some of them go through because of it now don't you? I guess you've had flashbacks and seen others have one from a trigger. I guess you've been in a crowded room and almost have a panic attack or have to have your back to the wall then eventually have to get out. I guess you haven't been to a fireworks show and tighten up.
If you actually read what I said I never said it would go away I said controlled. Controlled is the key word there. Also if you actually read my post you will see that I referenced a few time the OP said he still had anger issues. You want to try to come in here and show me up it isn't happening there buddy. I have nothing to prove from my service. I guess you do think you have something to prove. You can't rant and rave like a two year old all you want but if you ever grow up then maybe you can see the light. For some reason you think you can come in here and talk however you want well it isn't going to happen with me. I don't disrespect anyone and I don't expect anyone to disrespect me. I guess you feel bad by being a computer Rambo. Oh and I never said I was a green beret now did I. I did my schooling in ft Benning, north georgia and florida buddy not in NC. So you just have a nice day and remember don't accuse anyone of anything until you know what your talking about and who you are talking to. -
maybe its you who should read what one has posted! As you will be able to see, i have stated that i also have ptsd, so to your smart a-- comments about me not dealing with ptsd, all i have to say is take your own advise! and by the way, i didn't say that medications are not helpful, i said that they do not majically make ptsd go away, if you had ptsd you would know, what i stated is that it is a condition. conditions are helped with medication, but the condition is still there, just ask someone who is on medication for ptsd, myself included, what happens if they stop taking their medication for a while, ptsd comes back. and as far as your service sir i did not mean to take that into question, as i have served myself and consider all who have served as my brethren no matter what capacity, its a team that wins not individuals. what i did say is that not having ptsd, is not the same as having it, or basing your "experience" on wahat you may observe from others. dealing with a problem that you have yourself, or helping someone through a problem is two different things. and if you would like to compare me to "Rambo" that's certainly your opionin, but that is fine, he was supposed to be in the special forces in the movies, just don't compare all us special forces guys to being a "Rambo" not everyone will let the ##### name calling slide.

Razor zipper I believe you are taking me all wrong I did not say I know all about PTSD I have never been diagnosed with it. I have delt with people that have it and I know it doesn't just go away. That it why I said it can be controlled with medication. I never said it could be cured by it.
I will also say I think you are taking stuff too personally and I will gaurantee I know plenty of SF soldiers that either we saved their rears or they saved ours. I will probably say you and I have crossed paths at some time. You are not that much younger than I am and I was in 1/75th out of HHAF. Just so you know I respect all military personelle. I have said it before we are all pieces of the wheel all serving a specific purpose. I don't care if you were a grunt or a REMF we all had our purpose to insure the mission is completed. -
totally agree with you there brother!

You said before Razor that you were Marine Force Recon, as far as I remember Force Recon was changed to MARSOC back in late 06 early 07. That was divided into MSOB, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I have a few friends that were 2nd MSOB taken right out of SOI back in January 07 IIRC.
