I've been trying to do everything myself... I don't know anyone who knows about putting together presentations, nor do I have a lot of spare money...
Building my prototype cost me almost $300 because things had to be especially fabricated for me to my specs... and it's cost me $1000 to get to where I am in the Patent process with a Patent attorney...
I know I'll end up having to pay somebody eventually for a professional job... but I figured I'd see what I could do myself... The pictures were just snapshots from a video I made documenting one of my tests and to show my parents... after thinking about it last night... I will shoot specific pictures of much better quality, another thing I did wrong was I put it together in the youtube editor and I changed the length of the snapshot to 10 seconds... boy... I never realized how long 10 seconds could be until I looked at it... but then no matter how much I hunted I could not find a way to change the amount of time a pic displayed... anyway... I am very proud of the mug I've created... it will be great for construction workers... guys who plow snow all night... and if you go fishing before daybreak... you can heat your self up something to eat once you're out there... I have had nothing but positive feedback from everybody that's seen it... until here. It's for total mobility and being able to make a hot meal anyplace you have access to a 12 volt power source... If you have a rolling kitchen and you live in it... well maybe you don't need another appliance... I'm a trucker, I don't live in my truck, and I designed this to do the job that I needed done... that's why truckers came to mind first... There are 25 million people (according to the labor statistics website, as of 2010) that work out in the field that I have identified as possible consumers... I think I'll find a few that will see the value and buy one... Thanx for your positive comments that said what I was already thinking and caused me to pull down the post before I solicited too much negativity... Take care and drive safe... ^raVen^

Again, how is that any different than this one, ALREADY on the market?

Cooking and eating on the road isn't nearly as difficult as you make it out to be. In the years I used a lunchbox heater, I just ate straight from the can. When I was done, I'd rinse off the fork or spoon in the restroom, pitch the can in the trash, and I was done. I don't understand the need for finding a "suitable container" to eat from...unless, of course, you enjoy doing dishes.

So your "invention" heats to 212 degrees in 28 minutes...that is 8 minutes LONGER than a similar device already on the market. Again, I ask what makes yours so much better? Are you going to be competitive on price? The one I linked to is already in production, on store shelves and can be had for under $20...so if you can't beat that price, who is going to buy your product? If you are competitive on price, how many units will you have to sell before you break even? You are already $300 in the hole building the prototype...and another $1000 for the patent attorney. What are your production costs going to be? Who is going to have to fund that? How long before those investors are repaid? How much of the profits are you going to have to share with other investors? I'm guessing when all is said and done, if you see a few pennies per unit, it'll be a lot. Are you going to be able to sell enough to break even...considering there are already other products on the market doing exactly what your product is capable of doing? They are already established, so it wont hurt them to drop their prices just to keep their customer base from drifting your way...it's just business to them.

You seem to think you're headed for life on easy street....but I just don't see that happening. Hang onto your CDL, because you're probably going to be driving a truck for quite a while longer.

Schumacher 12V Beverage Heater, 127: ---------Key Word is BEVERAGE

Takes 10 minutes to warm and 20 minutes to boil water
Includes an adjustable metal hanger, and is perfect for vacations
    or outdoor camping
    6' cord
    For coffee, tea or soup
    2.5-Cup capacity ( Mine holds 22 0z. that's 2 oz. shy of 3 cups)
    Internal LED light

This is primarily for boiling water... for instant coffee or tea...
you can't brew coffee in it. You can't brew coffee in mine either, but
that wasn't my goal... but you could heat up a baby's bottle, because
no heat is directly applied from the bottom.

This says it can heat soup, but I assure you it better be a watery
type... If you try to do chili or stew or leftover spaghetti it will
not work, it will burn... mine will heat most any food product... and
the heat does not come from the bottom, it totally wraps around it...
when you get to a dock you can't just head to the dock with it... or
your can of soup because if it's hot enough to eat, it's too hot to
hold for any length of time... for the average person anyway. Also I
can heat a can of soup to 145 degrees in 15-20 min. You don't boil
    soup.

This is what's in the bottom facing up... on the Schumacher
    http://www.rei.com/product/781694/rei-immersion-heater-120240
This was the very first thing I tried probably about 17 years ago, I
hooked it directly to the can... I used it once or twice and junked
    it... it was not suitable.
My Patent attorney came highly recommended... the first thing he does
is an extensive patent search looking for already patented items that
have some resemblance... the only thing close was the coffee cup, and
that primarily keeps already warm coffee hot... it doesn't cook.

My investment is a wise one.... I've done my homework. The only
reason I am trying to educate you of the differences is for the
practice, because I have no doubt that I'll come across others like
you who will try to make similar arguments, and I'll be prepared.
I believe if you held it and saw it work, you might have a different
opinion. But, irregardless of what happens, I will always proudly
hold tight to my CDLA... and flawless driving record. Have a great day... stay safe

That will be available by next Christmas... Makes a Great Gift..!

This is the mug after bringing the soup up to 165 degrees... see some bits in there.

Just so you understand I am very familiar with the 'lunchbox'.
