wish i could say that......every time out of there it's 140 minimum with the exception of once i got bounced over to muskegon to greencastle........but it's always romeoville, summit, dekalb, rockwood, sandwich, all points north and west of chicago and always back through there with time running out right at the start of rush hour.......

so let's see what the preplan is lol.......summit to prince george va.......180 empty......can almost set my watch by it....but a nice one almost 1000 out of that one with a wed-thu delivery window so i'll get it there quick as i can and keep rolling and get a good week this week.......

decent showers at the pilot in ottowa lake....good sized and pretty clean.....at least the one i got.....

snow on the route for in the morning

heck yeah! Looks like you get your "biggie" this week! AWESOME! I have a "so called" friend that has been driving since 93. He's a cool dude until he starts making himself out to be "the best f'king driver". We all know those. haha Was talking with him last time I came off that run to Grand Rapids and he was telling me, all the "real" drivers stay at the Sunoco. All the wanna be's stay at Pilot. I just said, "Well, all the 1099 broke arse f'kers stay at the Sunoco, while my paid arse stays at the Pilot for a free shower!" Wondered why he hasn't called me back in a month or so! hehe Sittin' at the TA in Harrisburg. small run from Scranton to Norfolk. with only 4 hours left on my 14 had to stop here....EVERYBODY knows there ain't squat on 83 and I'm NOT gonna try and do Baltimore/DC with 4 left. Guess it'll be a 5 hour drive down there in the morning....which I'm a morning person anyways, so it all works out!

Ok my reality - over three weeks and haven't had a run over 500 miles. Usually get a 400/450 a 300 then 200 or less the rest of the week. Total avg 2100. Sucks...
Yesterday - had a 2 hour unload, then at 1100 was dispatched on load 84 miles away, appointment time, 1700. I begged at shipper, they live loaded instead of d/h. Took 2.5 hours to load. So total 4.5 hours no pay. Sucks but that's trucking??
delivered load today at noon, dispatched, at same dc for appointment time 1700. Cannot pick up early. Lose 3.75 hours, no pay. That's eight hours in a day and a half.
so will pickup load in the morning, it delivers 447 miles at 1600 tomorrow. So will sit at truck stop from 1230 today until 7 or so tomorrow. This is ridiculous.
The above scenarios happen 2-4 times a week to me since Christmas. I don't know how much more I can stand working for free....I really need to send out some applications....

such an innocent statement compared to what i actually ended up getting........

pops i'd have given you this 1000 just to not have to dealt with it.......rained all night and soaked everything and satnding water everywhere....between the time i got in the door and unloaded, it started snowing and temp dropped 30 degrees in an hour and everything flash froze........196 and 94 were nothing but an ice rink.....cars and trucks wrecking everywhere in the ditch.....guy from columbian that headed out right before me i passed way up off the road on the side of the hill about 40 miles down......blowing blinding snow couldn't even see the road.......30mph max and that was really too fast in some stretches average speed was closer to 15-20 most of the way.....5 of us running together and much discussion about discretion being the better part of valor and all of us just shutting down but every time we got ready to get off the road it cleared a little and we kept on and then it went down real quick again......2 got together at the split for 196 to 94 and shut it down one of them slid of the left and the other off the right with their trailers across the whole roadway so we all got detoured off at the 1 through the little roads back around to 94.....now that was alot of fun......not......

lightened up by indiana and gone by illinois but then the wind was really up and hasn't laid down yet.

finally made it to summit and got swapped.....7 hours to do 180 miles.....yard dog dropped the trailer about a good 6-8 inches too high.....good thing i always look at the height getting under it and don't just slam on back on it......that was just ridiculous..... cranking the gear down with the grease frozen #### near solid was loads of fun.....who needs a #### gym? gave me just enough time to get back on this side of chicago and shut down once i got on 65 with only 8 minutes left.....and not enough time to make the whole trip tomorrow.....so i end up in prince george at midnight tomorrow....no telling what i get at midnight probably the 'contact dispatch in the morning' message and my clock will already be running. lovely.

going to get rocked to sleep in 30 sustained gusting to 50. 14 outside and that makes the wind chill around -3......just won't get warm in here at all and the bunk heater is screaming. and it's snowing. again.

what a day. i've seen enough snow and ice for one winter. i'm ready for spring. i can tell you for sure that #### auto is very close to being as unsafe as you can get on the ice......even in manual mode..... give me a clutch and a stick any day of the week.

Dang flying, I hate it I said anything. Pales in comparison to your day. I'm just below you apparently. At north Vernon ta at the 50. At least I will be headed to olive branch ms, near Memphis if I can ever get this one picked up. Take a deep breath and get some rest, sounds like you need it.

POPS I had the SAME EXACT week you had last week and the week before! Good thing, I have loads of por....er...um...movies/tv/games to keep me occupied! lol But, I thought EVERYTHING was good and "gravy" this week until this morning! Left outta Harrisburg, fuelled up, PTI, everything "A-OK" until I get around Baltimore on 695. Everybody is flickering their lights at me, honking horns at me.....I'm like, "WTF" finally cut on CB....5 guys are calling me out, telling me my trailer lights are out! WTF? So I pulled over and checked 'em. Had to wait 2 hours for road service to bring me a new cable! TOTALLY KILLED MY DAY! I'm happy with 2100 if I have at least 1 NE run....I have friends that run around 2100 and only bring home right OVER $300! And that's ON per diem and NO NE bonus! I can run 2100 and still bring home between 600-700 and be home on the weekends, I know this might sound crappy to alot of guys, but, for only a years worth of experience....it's better than swifty/schneider/jbcunt! Plus, I DO get to help raise my little guy with wifey....and I don't hafta pay some toothless crackwhore for sex! haha

oh i won't set it on fire but i might go find some of those nice black stick on numbers this weekend and change the numbers on them between yours and mine.....you'll come in next week to a wonderful auto lol......

so the wind finally stops blowing the truck around last night and i finally get to sleep good and i'm dreaming about driving on that ice......over and over ding ding ding wheel spin detected reduce throttle.....ding ding ding wheel spin detected reduce throttle in my dream lol......until i half asleep raised my head and realized it was that #### low voltage cutout warning going off and then everything dies again.....after only 7 hours this time.......

yesterday was a mentally taxing day to be sure......and put me 2hrs over on my delivery cause it took so long to get to the pickup......then i get to charleston today and 64 is shut down cause someone rolled a log truck eastbound in the curve on the bridge......so decided to preserve what eta i had and go ahead and shut down even though iot cuts my hours available short tonight when i get there.......just been one of those trips nothing goes right.....

pretty boring day for me.....had no choice but to take THE LONG WAY up to NH! In CT now, at that #### pay to park TA on 84! Had to do the 295-turnpike-287-84 route.....god I hate that way! Everybody going 40 in a 55 all the way up! NJ bears are REALLY looking for somebody. Got called into the scale on 295 and asked where I came from and where I was going, what I was hauling. Said, have a good day. Stopped at fuel stop in Paulsboro, on the way in, same exact thing! Wonder what the deal is? Would've made it further, to the Pilot...but ran outta hours due to everybody driving so freaking slow...and there's NO SNOW! Also, the weigh station(s) and fuel stop checkpoints killed alittle bit of my time as well(driving hours). Oh well!

There's a pay to park TA in Tampa too. Truck stop parking down here sucks.
