Anyone can search this forum for CRST and Conway and I will guarantee you will come back with way more negative reviews about CRST, and far more positive reviews about Conway. I assure you, I can confirm this, as I have been reviewing and talking to drivers from Con-Way and CRST for several weeks while reviewing various companies. From what I've read, CRST and C.R. England are two of the worse reviewed companies on this entire forum, and other forums as well. Con-way seems to be sitting at the top of starter companies, or near the top atleast. I'm not trying to be biased, and I don't work for any of the companies I just mentioned, I'm simply trying to point out that ratio of bad reviews CRST has compared to Conway. I wish I could work for conway but I dint have the upfront money to cover initial tuition costs

Also, the tuition obligation is over when you deliver your first load. On pets, there is a non-refundable deposit, don't know the amount. You give up a penny per mile with the pet because you are more likely to idle more. You can get the penny back by meeting mileage standards.

Double check all of this with the recruiters because it may have changed at any time, but it is probably pretty close.

Last I heard, prime was a pretty good outfit, but your commitment for the tuition is much longer and they like to get you to become an owner operator and lease a truck. On Swift, we all make jokes, but in reality, we are all just one speeding ticket from making Swift our first company. They will take a new driver with that ticket and others like Conway won't.

So, if you have to go there, make the best of it, do your time and then move on when one of your first choice companies will take you. Good luck to ya, hope you land at Conway.

hi! dont know if this will help or not but here goes! i went to the community college in my city and took truck driving as my major. some schools might have financial aid but a program called WIA at the unemployment office paid for me to go to school books, supplies, transportation, all included. all i paid for out of pocket was my licence and i got the best training. it only took 2 months and i had driven every transmission, flatbed, tanker, dry van and doubles. you get defensive driving and hazmat training so you are certified for any job you could want. might want to check into it, might be worth it. the entire program was only 800 dollars.
