Way to Go OSU, Kentucky sounds nice right about now. I was in Lexington a few times, lots of nice people there.
Irish...I think you get a new nicname...."ICEROAD" lol....Wausau. You will do great out there.
Techno...keep us posted, I'm considering that flatbed stuff down the line somewhere...looks like thats the ticket for a chance to get out west a little bit.
Called into driver line this morning and now I no longer go to switchboard, get directed to "jim". my trainer is still in the works, should be soon. I'm not surprised no one wants to come to Grand Rapids this time of year...lol. I'm packed, ready to run out the door.Bigdubber Thanks this. -
KY is not so great if you check the weather, ice storms on the way, and possible tornadoes farther south, while snow up north. Woohoo Mother Nature is a b at times.

Well at least you've now driven in Wausau previously

Went up to the Twin Cities today and got fingerprinted for my TWIC card (desired for flatbedders, lets you enter secure ports unescorted) and TSA Hazmat credential. Figured it would be good to do it now before things start rockin' more. Will have to return there when the TWIC is ready since they don't send them through the mail...only other place in MN is Duluth
goblue Thanks this. -
Gotta love the government thinking on the hazmat, they make rules just to seem like they are actually doing something. Anyone think that a person who wants to take a hazmat load, and use it for nefarious reasons is going to even bother with a CDL, let alone get the proper credentials for hazmat?technoroom and Treefork Thank this.

I miss Weillers

Are those a kind of hotdog?
Sorry guys. I'm bored, after dot physical today, I've had to sit and wait for safety to clear me to drive. Old card was up midnight. I was just informed I'm clear now, with a whole two hours left on 14. -
Weilers is the name of the convenience store / truckstop outside Marshfield where we typically stopped at while out on the road. It was easier to switch drivers there than going back in and out the gates at the Roehl terminal. And goblue was rather enamored with some of the girls that worked the checkout counter there.
Enjoy your two hours!
goblue Thanks this. -
Lol....weillers is the official mini truck stop of Rdtc. I think theres about 3 or 4 of them in Marshfield...we stopped there daily after we were on the road.
