Ok so i know a version of this has been asked but i was just wondering. My bf wants me to drive with him, i am cool with it. I want to support him in what he loves to do and he has done it prev. at another job. It would just be me and him no other drivers. Would he have to have his own company for me to be allowed to come? or could he own his own rig and work for a company?

Uhm... I think if you work for a company, you have to get approval through them. Does he own his truck? Often, those that lease to a company don't have the same set of rules. I know with the company I work for, you have to meet some requirements then jump through their hoops.

Most companies out there now have policies that allow riders, although some of them limit the amount of time certain riders can ride for, etc. Have your BF check with his company for the details. Most companies require pre-authorization of any riders.

Are you talking about BOTH of you holding a CDL and driving or you just going with him?

If you both want to drive, many companies will love that and try to get you to run team. If you're just a passenger, you'll have to check with each company, see what their rules are and get authorization from them for you to go.
