This is happening relatively real time, so you'll share in my mistakes and problem solving. I'm using cheap engineered Brazilian cherry from lumber liquidators that I got for 1.49 a foot. I'm using anti fatigue mats I got at Harbor freight for insulation. I picked up some tar paper to help level the sleeper with the cab as it was off by a hair. This was all instigated by the raccoon incident which is well documented on TTR. First problem I ran into was getting the accelerator off. 2 of 4 bolts were rusted and seized. I've ground them flush, and have yet to come up with a solution, but I have an idea. Stay tuned for more posts today ImageUploadedByTapatalk1361551958.525952.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1361551983.850008.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1361552006.403974.jpg

That Matt is the same stuff I used when I put hardwood floors in my classic freightliner.
It makes good insulation and sound deadner, but I would never do wood floors again. After 2 Years I pulled the wood out and put carpet back over the Matt's.

After a couple of years running in all different enviroments, pulling step deck getting in and out at different job site it just took a toll on the look of the floor.
I had bamboo wood which was a light wood that was grooved on the end for a slip fit which was another problem. After time from the constant hot cold and humid and dry situtions it just didn't work for me.
Looked really good for the first year though.

BlindDriver must have missed where it said "cheap ENGINEERED Brazilian cherry". Is likely made from wood that was never in Brazil, even while growing. and being an engineered product means it is some laminate that uses very little wood on the surface anyway. probably thin layer of pine with stain applied. I am sure the rain forest will survive fortycalglocks's new floor.
