I'm a new member here and have come to you guys for some help. I'm trying to find some companies running hopper bottoms in the NV/southern CA area, but I'm not having too much luck. I have an opportunity to run around 900 loads per year for up to three years, but can't seem to find the equipment to help me out! If anyone knows of any companies in the area that they think would be interested, please let me know.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Are you looking for somebody local or someone that can help you? I used to be leased to H&M Trucking out of Omaha, NE on there van side and knew the hopper guys which always said they had hoppers out west, I think they have a few that live out there. THey would get good payers going west then run up and down the coast for awhile to make it where they could afford to take a lesser load back east. Can't think of the number right off but I know they have a web site, talk to Dale Cook on the hopper side to help you[nice guy]. Hope this helps ya.

Do you own your own truck or are you looking to lease on? Do you have to run a hopper for the job you are looking into or is there some flexibility? It is my experience out there that if you are going to stay running in that area most everybody runs doubles for any kind of hopper work, produce, hay, etc. If you can swing it and if you plan to stay in california you might consider getting a belt or walking floor. Almost anything delivering to a dairy or job site requires a trailer that can pile the product up. IMO I'm not sure that's necessary but that's the accepted norm. I know a few local companies out there that may be able to help you if you want to pm me.
Hillrw3 and UTI TRANSPORT Thank this. -
Ha well ideally I'm looking for both. I just need a company I know can have capacity and get a truck there at fairly short notice if need be. I've talked to Tiny at H & M and he's getting with his team there and looking in to it. Thanks for the lead though!
