Not staying in the Baymont. I stay in the truck when im here. Im parked on the west end of the lot. truck only.
-
I'll look for you tomorrow night if you're still in the area.

I took my own car here and it wasn't a bad drive. The grass are covered with snow, but I definitely see footprints in the snow. It may be from regular guests here at the hotel and not TMC people. As far as the training center, so far all I see is a big paved lot. I am sure there are grass somewhere lol.

Day 2 Orientation 02/26/2013:
Today was less exciting than yesterday. We had some more paperworks to fill out, more lectures, and continue to work on our assignments whenever we get some free time. It's all about time management. We discussed a lot of things including driver policies, and how the driver is accountable for their actions. Some say TMC is strict. I like what I am hearing. In my opinion, you should be accountable for the choices you make.
It was snowing pretty good today, so the simulator session for tonight was canceled.
No one was dismissed today so that's a good thing.

Well thats good that no one got sent home hey question before you graduated did you get pre hired with them

There are 4 tests that you have to complete by the deadline. They are General Knowledge, DOT Regulations, Basic Math test, and company policy. The General knowledge is common sense questions about basic truck operations. The Basic Math test is simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) problems. Some are word problems to see if you're able to calculate things like average speed, driving time, etc. You can even use a calculator. To be honest, if anyone struggles with the Basic Math test, maybe trucking is not the best job for them. The DOT regulations test is open book test where you just look up the FMCSA regulation and answer the question. Easy enough.

I didn't get a pre-hire with TMC, but it was due to the fact that TMC was my #1 choice and so the recruiter worked with me to get the information needed to get the approval to come to orientation. It worked out for me since it sped up my DOT physical and paperwork once I got to orientation. Just so you're aware, TMC only does a state background check on you prior to coming to orientation. Once here, you're given one last opportunity to look over your application and make any changes to it. Then, they will do a more comprehensive Federal background check on you.

O ok cause tmc is my number one choice also right now I need to get in contact with a recruiter but yea im not worried bout the background check I have a clean record I just have 3 speeding tickets with no suspensions
