the better truck?

    really I do not like cascadia. This system with cab and chassis SAM is not good for DIYers wring repare on road. It is not easy to fix it w/o dealer support. So I'd look for Columbia.

    Pete is a good truck, but all Paccar trucks (in Europe too) are more expencive.

    New DAF 105 engine used in Pete is not so good. SMART injection system by Deliphi is too complicated for mechanics. Hight pressure lines are single use. Previous Paccar engine (UPEC) was much better but cant meet new Euro and EPA emissions.

    So I'd choose Cummins HPI (not XPI) ore pre SCR/DEF engine, and better pre DPF

    Never done more than walk past a Cascadia,never been inside one...I would take it over a 387 anyday.

    Ya I was not talking about the newer Petes with the Pacar engines under the hood. That is got to be the crappiest engine out on the market today, but if he picked up a 2004 Pete or KW or older, and he was handy with a wrench, then ya he would have a great truck.

    Oh and for your comment on Hondas out lasting Harleys, it all comes down to how your equipment is being taken care of. My wife has a 1999 Jimmy with 350,000 miles on it, she loves that little SUV, and takes darn good care of it. So if you drove a 2007 Pete with a Pacar engine in it....I'm gonna have to guess you do not own a truck yet.

    Petes are not a joke, nor is W900 KW, or the older trucks, it is a lifestyle, a living.
