My husband worked for QC (Wylie Bice). The company was great before QC bought out Wylie Bice. The GM for Bice stayed on as the terminal manager for QC. He worked his butt off and was good to the drivers. Then QC sent in their guy from Tampa, and wouldn't let the terminal manager do his job, and it was downhill from there (Terminal manager left and they have a new one that isn't worth a cr#p). I actually heard the QC head guy say "I don't give a #### what the drivers think. #### being fair. If they don't like it they can leave." Many drivers only get a load or two/week. Others go all the time. It depends on who you know and who you b##w. A lot of drivers have quit as the company has gone downhill since QC took over. Too much down time and not enough money. I'd suggest looking elsewhere.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 25, 2013
V8-MACK Thanks this. -
Does anyone have any information about Deer Valley Trucking? My husband is considering leaving his current employer and going with Deer Valley. My husband currently is working in a remote location and can't check this information out for himself. I believe they pay some sort of commission. This would be a big move for him and I don't want my honey to get screwed. Thanks..

Deer valley...If u want to sit then deer valley is the place to work. There a scab company... Like j&m and t&s and Wylie byce rhino trucking etc etc etc.. They all unsafe dont pay drivers good or make u wait 90 days to get paid or ur sitting for weeks on end with a few days of work a month...take your time and research companies... Use the shopper.net and look up jobs in there... There are like 40 pages of jobs a week up here..

That sounds like a mess, a qc driver was on craigslist saying the same things. He was assigned a 1 million mile truck that was in the shop, before he drove it.

There equipment is horrible and old... A lot of owners swear they got work 24/7 but I see there trucks sitting for weeks in the same spots... There is a reason most of them advertise on craigslist. Cause they know a driver desperate to get there share of this oil boom money will fall right into it and once ur up here with a bad company ur stuck till u can find better.

Are you talking about Deer Valley Trucking or another company?

Cobra7479. My Husband would be applying for a "Driver - Crude Oil" position. Can you be a bit more specific about your feelings for Deer Valley Trucking. My Husband currently drives in another state for another company. He and his friend are checking out Deer Valley Trucking. Thanks so much..

Thanks for the information. Can you tell me why they don't have a good reputation? What do you think about Power Fuels? Thanks again. I'm passing this information on to my Sweetie..
