What company do you drive for?
-
I did not fill it out. The medical guy asked the questions. Just checked, I did write it. Been almost 2 years. Memory is getting bad.
Good to know, I have to get another one later this year. -
Honesty pays off, & dishonesty may cost you much more than just a job.
rocknroll81 and Tonythetruckerdude Thank this. -
There is no reason to lie about it. You will get certified. Maybe only for one year. My doctor said if I get on Meds and it is controlled I could get a two year card next time. At least I believe that is what she said. Either way, honesty would be the best policy in my opinion.
Tonythetruckerdude and rocknroll81 Thank this. -
FYI, if you have BP Medication, you can't qualify for the 'over 140/90 temp certificates'. I was told this by a doctor when I got my last physical.
My BP always runs right near the limit naturally (no meds), so I asked him to check my BP first, and if it was good, I'd like to get my physical done. Well, my BP was 130/88 or so. So, I did the physical. And of course, it read higher thanks to white-coat-syndrome that I suffer (no clue why, really), and he got a reading of 140/89. And he told me, that if I didn't get it at 140, he couldn't certify me at all because high BP is a 'known history' and the only way to qualify at all is to be below 140/90 no matter what (no provisionals). But, I did get the two-year card. And am due for a physical at the end of March. Which, I'm dreading. My BP always spikes in a DRs office from nervousness, but is generally fine when checked everywhere else (or at home with the little portable ones).
My two uncles are on BP meds, and they both have 1 year medicals. So, I know it's not that big of a problem if I do get put on them. But, I just prefer not being on drugs if my health can allow it. -
Good thread! I have high blood pressure also.
Just renewed my card a couple weeks ago.
The Doc asked if i was on blood pressure meds.I said yes.I tested good so she gave me a 2 year card?
I guess that is invalid? -
