I've seen TA use trash cans for a long time...I think they use them more than likely due to the volume that they have...not to say there isn't racism either because there always will be but I do believe you may be paranoid....just relax.

 

One time my wife wanted me to clean the garage. She yelled at me when I dragged my feet.

"You're doing this to me because I'm black!" I said.

"No you're not." She said.

"I am from the waist down."

"Yeah, you wish." She replied.

I ended up cleaning the garage.

 

First, don't get me wrong, i despise ALL bigotry, so don't get me wrong. If member of the trucksop's staff had made a nasty remark about skin color or nationality, that would be racism. Maybe the towel and washcloth were getting worn out, and you just happened to be the last guy to use that shower before they decided to replace some of the towels and washcloths? And yes sometimes they use spare trash cans as towel hampers. That's not to say i haven't run into ignorant truck stop personnel. One guy at the t/a in maybrook, ny had a nasty attitude and refused to refill the toilet paper dispensers in the showers and restroom, and decided he hated truckers. Then again, he didn't much like the remark i made that if he hated truckers, there was plenty of people stuck without jobs that would be glad to replace him, lol.

 

So , if someone throws a towel used by a black person into anything other than
a washing machine which has a sign above it that reads " There are also towels in here
used by white people " that person is a racist ?

Uhm , O.K. ...

Just curious , what would you have thought if a black person had
thrown the towel into the can ?

 

I've seen the practice of throwing used towels a trash can, towels used by all races

 

The only way racism has power is because of the persons believing in it happening.
