Loose leaf logs will cure that down time blues for the new regs coming in July.

Now that is freaking crazy. I never record my status as empty after I unload
DId you drive from the delivery straight to Fresno, or did you stop overnight somewhere before getting there, thus having a new log page where you were empty without a load??? -
That is the page that got him in trouble in NM a couple of days later.
-
What I'm getting from his post is that he unloaded on sunday then drove straight over to Fresno on the same day. He had the shipper numbers on his log for the load he delivered, but when he unloaded, he did not write "empty" after the shippers numbers (BOL) so they wrote him a ticket????

Sure is. Not the first time I have heard it.

It won't during an FMSCA audit. All it takes is one phone call to a fuel stop, they pull up your receipt number, and BANG! you are nailed because your receipt is timestamped.
-
Bingo. You got it.

The timer for the week starts the min you start your 34. So if you start it at Noon on tuesday, you can start a new 34 the following tuesday at noon. Remember you have to have the two 1am to 5am periods in that. So you can't unload Tues. morning and reload Wens. night. You would have to get empty Monday evening and start your restart then, and load Wens. Morning now. Or recap till you get home.

Maybe works in the movies but not real life, they cannot pull up from last week let alone months or more after.
Cash sales are near impossible to trace.
