It can be loaded like any other dry van. I wouldn't even mention it's a roller.

Dewey120 and Ranger Bob Thank this.

Had our initial insp done yesterday... Trk needs a little work, will be done Monday. We are planning on orientation wed in fl. Planning to run dry van, but habe some flat exp (husband/wife team). We dont like to tarp... if we decide to do flat, r there plenty of loads with no tarping? How much more $ can we make? We own a big bunk trk, so r ls locations ok for that? We also have TWIC cards if that helps with frieght. Thx

LS furnishes PrePass optional for $2.50 a week deducted from settlement. EX Pass is on you but I would go with the IPass from Illinois, covers all EX Pass states, you get the same discounts, much easier to setup and get started and no need to carry a large account balance. $50 gets you going.

ok here is last years numbers with swift as a team 238,361k gross.
65,504 taken home trk payments are +24k per, year truck will be paid this year

so lets assume truck was already paid for would it be fair to say that a team could make more than 85or90 k per year (without taxes of course)?
if so would that be a bad or average year at LS? dry vans
and yea i know the pay sux so please spare me the comments on how stupid we are

Everyone has to start somewhere... I think if everyone was honest, most started at swift or companies like them. We did... U did better then us, but we were just company drivers, stayed long enough to pay for school.
We are about to start with ls... I think u should make that after taxes or at least we r hoping to...

Teams can do good here running Air Freight, FedEX, UPS and some specialty stuff but it's not as good as it used to be....but what is anymore....you can still run general freight as a team as long as you can work out loading and unloading times.....I'm sure you can net more here with a lot less miles and less stress than where you are now, so given what you are used to I'm sure this will seem like a holiday.....plus having the truck paid for is a major plus. Sounds like you work hard so I can see you being a good fit here.

If and when you should come over I would look up the CHI, WMD and GAD agents to start with. Also check with Freight Operations to see who has time sensitive freight......they will help you.
