I would go for the 9400i , if it runs well i wouldn't worry about the weight difference

I have an 06 Peterbilt 387 with an ISX and bought a Bully Dog and it improved a full 1 MPG and the power difference is unbelievable.

I was thinking about a bully dog, can you truly notice a difference in power?

For 125 bucks you can buy a power harness from Ebay for the ISX....
It raised my mileage by 1 mpg on average and that is running 70+ mph.

The truck never got over 5.8 and now is hitting 6.8 to 7 mpg.
All it does is connect inline to the fuel pressure sensor wiring. It really does work and i was amazed!
Unreal a boost in fuel pressure would help and the throttle is more responsive.

I can run 75 all day long and still see 6.8 no problem.

I would love to have a Bully Dog but at that price i could not justify it.

    allbusiness Thanks this.

Yes the power difference is like night and day, I had to have the ECM replaced and that erased the Bully Dog tune and I couldn't wait to get home to reprogram it.

Now I am wondering if I could stack that eBay thing with my bully dog.

I bet you could run the power harness with the bully dog. I was also wondering about the diesel doctor out in effingham Ill. I was passing through on wednesday night and heard a woman on the c.b. advertising for him.

Yes you could use both. The power harness is an inline resistor that tells the ECM the engine needs more fuel pressure.
It should not matter what program the ECM is running.

The guy i bought the power harness from has a bunch of coal trucks they run them on.
He has a friend who is a Cummins tech that makes the harness.

####, i wish i knew that info about the guy you bought yours from cuz I woud have bought it from him as his was much cheaper. Instead I ordered mine from Diesel Freaks, and cost me $240 with express shipping. Live and learn..lol
thanks for the info on the power harness regardless. I was thinking about the ts performance module for $1400 that gives you the exact same results as the power harness. Sure glad I waited.
    thanks again ez money!
