I think its a crazy situation what does the US hate about us brits who cannot come and work and enjoy america, we get a 90 day visa but unless you marry an american its impossible to get a job driving even with 35 years class 1 licence

 

Trucking companies are not the only ones who prey on immigrants. I remember watching a program once about a factory owner in the middle of Iowa or Nebraska who brought over a bunch of guys from India. He paid them like $2 an hour and forced them to live in the factory basement.

 

Dahl is the perfect example of greed here. Almost embarrasing at the fact they wanna offer people from other countries a better life when we the americans cant get the job.

Driver shortage? ########.

 

Any of you Americans know of any capable drivers that want to work, please refer them and we will gladly hire them if they are qualified!

 

What are the qualifications you speak of? What could an "American" expect to make with you guys? Keep in mind greed is a ##### when you guys run out of qualified immigrants working for little pay.

 

2 yrs exp, a good MVR record and the willingness to work, all drivers, forgein or american make the same wages

 

Got to give Dahl Trucking credit here: They'll screw both foreigners and Americans equally on their wages as long as the drivers put up with it.

 

I wish they recruit you Brits and Aussies, at least you guys can drive and speak the language.

Mr. Dahl, it sorta seems you only worry about what a driver can do for you. Have you thought of paying a driver with 2yrs clean experience who is willing to work, what he is worth? Maybe in doing that you wouldn't be experiencing a driver shortage. Also, have you noticed the cost of living. If not, let me tell ya, 600 a week don't cut it. So please spare us, hiring immigrants while you whine an american won't do that job is hooey. An american CANT do it for the crummy cheapo o pay you and most other employers, trucking or not, will pay.
