I also forgot to ask that when I scan or transflo do I need to scan the freight bill terminal copy (confirmation page the agent sent me when I first received the load) with the BOL's?

AS a landstar bco I get the percentage that my contract states where as an approved carrier you get the whole amount agreed upon so most of the time it will come out fairly close to the same.Landstar is always going to get there share no matter who hauls it.

Depends onthe time of the year and what type of trlr. you pull, but pretty much mid-march thru nov. is pretty good and dec. thru feb. is tougher. There is still some pretty decent freight but will have to spend more time finding it on the loadboard at least till you build up some relationships with agents.

When you p/u a load and sign for it your responsible for it until it is delivered and signed for so if you don't want to worry about it plan your trips so you don't go home with a load on.

Well I tried getting a regular dry van load with this roller van trailer but the shipper said he would not load his freight onto a roller bed. I guess onto the next load.

That is NOT true and you have no right saying it. Never once have I ever been told at a meeting to put loads on an outside carrier versus a BCO. -
every since I have been in trucking this has been the case, if you don't want to babysit it, don't book it till you are ready to babysit it. No one tells us to book a load before we go home, so it is your choice if you pick it up.

I noticed that the last time my current trailer had a Landstar inspection done on it was June of 2012. If I get this inspected at the TA by an approved Landstar inspector do I have to call the trailer maintenance or utilization dept? Or can I just take it to the TA and they will bill the costs directly to Landstar? Also what was that $25 bounty on trailers that need an inspection?
