I book my trucks with them. Have to get the right rep indeed. Same goes for JB Hunt. Their rates are not the best but they are reliable and their loads are real ones.

I almost booked a load from them last year out of Oklahoma back to Ohio. It was very cheap and I put myself in a bad sort of way going out there for CHR for what I thought of at the time as a great rate $2.30 to the truck from KY. I knew it was somewhat of a deadend for outbound freight but took the chance anyways. turned out to be a lucky move cause as soon as I turned down their load I found a reload of of nursury stock, my first experience with that kind of freight, right back to KY. It was a 5 stopper but it was about $2.70 a mile to the truck right back to KY. That was Feb last year. I figure this time of year, or very soon at least, it ought to be relatively easy to jack a decent rate out that way with CHR, TQL, Coyote or whoever on the excuse that it's a bad market and then grab another nursury load right back out of OK making for a good round. You guys are likely spot on about Coyote, you just have to luck into the right situation with the right agent, one with authority who wants to move a load and makes the mistake of letting you know he wants it covered. What is their quickpay option btw?

With the limited time running Coyote I have learned that if you go into a black hole as I call them, bad lanes to others it is not hard to get a great rate but have to bargain for it and be nice about it or professional. This then put me into a quick pickup outbound load they had just got, most likely setting on it but got it anyways since I deliver on time they told me they could get me out.

Got back into a lane and two loads later and good mileage pay I got back to the house after three weeks out with them.

Quick pay via Coyote is different with all contracted companies, pretty much sticking with them now and running lanes they have available which are my desires anyways. They have plenty of good paying loads but have to run what they have, I am doing up a lane now that keeps me rolling in and out of Florida without being bent over the fender to do it.
