From Day One - Abilene Motor Express (Richmond, Wytheville, VA)

Thanks Runningman. I enjoy reading your posts, I went back and read your Cheeseman thread also. Does abilene charge a fee for the per diem. Is the insurance any good?

 

No administrative fee the perdiem. There insurance is okay, but not great. It works for me, but my wife has my daughter on her insurance.

 

Delivered this morning in LA, bounced over to Colton to grab a preloaded trailer going back to Gordonsville, Va. for 0800 Friday morning. Then off for a few days. Pretty uneventful trip out to Cali. and hoping for the same going back. Weather looks good. Be safe and productive.

 

Made it out of Laredo today picked up a load one street over from previous delivery. Got loaded up was heading to Winston-Salem, NC till I got MSG asking to swamp with a driver trying to get home to sc. Met him in Houston now heading over to New Orleans picking up 3 pallets heading to Petersburg, va. Probably will have a second pickup along the way to load the trailer more.

 

What do you usually take down to Laredo? Be Safe.

 

Chemicals outta Hopewell, va goes cross the border into Mexico

 

i seen a abilene (mack) truck awhile ago pulling a boars head trailer,going through monroe,nc.nice rig,good lookin equipment.

 

Majority of the fleet are Volvos, but they have 20 Macks and some Cascadias.

 

Getting unloaded here in Gordansville, Va then dheading to Richmond to switch trucks and drop Shawn off. Hopefully I will be home sometime tonight. Be safe.
