I see why this Einstein isn't here no more. Evidently he hasn't done any reading. Sorry I have eaten much better than OTR, 2 years now. I haven't had a cupcake in over 2 years either there Dr Phil.

I can't find it now but I read one that focused on sleep apnea as a precursor to diabetes and hypothyroidism.

I have a CPAP,my sleep study showed that I stopped breathing 39 times an hour during sleep, never had a good night sleep until I got the CPAP. I have Gerd but a daily prescription for the purple pill keeps it in check.Sleep Apnea IS a very real thing.I'm thin but over 60 and I can clear out a neighborhood with my snoring.
Cpap machine have a card in them that can be read to see if they are in use.My insurance wouldn't pay for it until they knew I was using it for a few months.Mine is a ResMed and I can't sleep without it now,it's small and I take it every where.
Maybe try a different type or mask ?

LOL, brain fart. You're correct! BTW, it's not real healthy to take it a bunch, but, man, it's a universe of "better" than not sleeping, or taking sleeping pills. When I have trouble sleeping due to stress or whatever, I take it and I'm out in 10 to 15. And I can wake up normally, for any reason like noises or alarms or even because I'm hot or cold.

It works well, just don't abuse it.

I did the same thing, for first couple days. I dunno if it's mental or what, but that "thing on my nose" was a world of tension and anxiety right at first.

I don't know why it helps to sit up, but it sure did for me. Once I got some rest with it on, then it became easier. I did not fully acclimate to sleeping with it for at least 3 months.

The problem is to many people making rules that have never lived the trucking lifestyle.I don't have sleep apnea but a week doesn't go by were my sleep is interrupted by trucks doing all sorts of things around me.

There are alternatives for those that can't wear CPAP. Look up pillar procedure in combination with a turbinate coblation. This may work if he is a candidate.
