    Hey all, first post!

I've been driving for 1 year in British Columbia, hauling mostly La-Z-Boy furniture, bath tubs, insulation, and some Wal-Mart loads.
I've pretty much had the luxury of wearing whatever I like to drive. Now i've relocated to Alberta and I'm set to have a road test tomorrow.

They require steel toe boots, which I do not own. I'm apprehensive about getting something too heavy, and I won't be able to feel the pedals properly. They told me it doesn't necessarily have to be a boot, it can be a shoe.

With that being said: Which is your favorite steel toe boot/shoe for driving big rig?

Minnetonka moccasin in the winter and barefoot in the summer.

Wearing clunky shoes on your feet while driving is like putting boxing gloves on to steer!

When I pull up to the job I throw on my steel tips.

driving barefoot and with mocs on is illegal. flip flops also.

hard soled foot wear is required.

steel toes in the winter freeze my toes. have frostbite in a couple and they hurt like h*ll.

just carry them in truck 'till needed.

I love my redwings. Very comfortable, although a little more pricey than walmart. $125 for mine.

Don't buy them from Walmart. You'll get what you pay for...

I had, still have but they're close to being disposed of now.. a pair of Keen's Men's Milwaukee steeltoe work boots. Lasted me about 2 years flatbed OTR, and I wore them constantly except in the sleeper! They were still in good shape until I changed jobs, and then they rapidly started to decline. (I think its the ladder climbing that has done them in..) They cost me $130-150 at the time. I was happy with them, but I think I'll try something else next time.

I bought mine from walmart for for 7 years. Think i only went through 5 pairs. Working with gas cylinders, i kicked the cylinder to roll it and my boots held up very well. Im glad I got what I paid for.
