You are not returning to your location where you went off duty but that does not make your PC home invalid .

Companies make their own rules and regs as well. We don't have a line 5 which means PC is line 3 for us. If I drive past my 11 or 14 for a burger, I might could explain it to DOT, if I could show him where I moved here and back on my e-logs. But company doesn't allow it and I'd be wrote up for it.
