If you PC home from your terminal , then while at home you accept a load that is somewhere other than your terminal you are on duty when you leave home . You are not returning to your location where you went off duty but that does not make your PC home invalid .

You are 100% correct on the statement, My safety manager is a nice person but he doesn't know all the rules, He only knows what he knows, then I question them about it he just puts me in violation of the rule, Then he makes me sign some paper of violation, I just sent to my attorney that he buckles immediately.

Companies make their own rules and regs as well. We don't have a line 5 which means PC is line 3 for us. If I drive past my 11 or 14 for a burger, I might could explain it to DOT, if I could show him where I moved here and back on my e-logs. But company doesn't allow it and I'd be wrote up for it.
