Hey there . I will be a new driver soon and I was wondering if anyone is using "CRICKET " phone service. I live in northern Colorado and am hoping to use my current phone. I only pay $50 a month and have unlimited everything with no contract. I don't want to have to spend more money.

You just need to look carefully at the nationwide coverage maps and see if there are "roaming areas" and other assorted fees that might kick in when you use your phone for this and that far from your "home network". I'm not familiar with Cricket so can't say but what I do know is is that if 6 months you're still trucking you'll probably want to or will have already moved to ATT or Verizon (probably Verizon)

My phone service has nation wide coverage . I just haven't gone on any road trips since I started this phone service. I just need my current phone service to work for as I get started . I eventually plan to get a new phone and a laptop and get a new plan together. So , just wanted to see if any fellow Colorado people are using the CRICKET phone service .

I will also look into the straight talk program. I believe I saw an ad for this at Wally world.

I had cricket internet and never again.I very much doubt they have nationwide phone service.Truckerpete suggested straighttalk,I would try them before cricket.I had straighttalk and you can get service anywhere. You should stick to providers that are very well known.

i have Straight talk works on Verizons network... $50 for unlimited everything. My mother has it in Kentucky and it's At&T, so i kept the Arizona number to stay on V network, it's the best coverage, or at least it has been for me. I do have some dead spots like any other phone. i get the flip phones since anything else dies on me and they are free on the website with service plan
