The start of my first year with Swift.

DL sent it out over qualcomm before he left for the weekend.

So here I sit in Sumner. I guess it could be worse. I have a load for CA to pick up in the morning. That will put me past the 24 hour mark for layover pay. We'll see what the DL says about it. I really hate going to CA but it seems that's where I'm destined to spend my time. I think it may be my purgatory. At least it's a load.

I asked my DL what the ranking system means and what my PC does to me. He said it will keep me from getting platinum status, I won't get the 1cpm quarterly bonus, and I won't get to choose my loads from a selection list. I don't have any of that now so I guess it's good this happened when it did.

 

Another poopy day down. Why is it that when I have a problem with my truck, the shop never wants to work on it? In short, I was turned down by the shop in Sumner to look at my steer tire and told I had to wait until Monday when a "tire guy" would be in. Onroad then essentially called me a liar about the deal because when they called the shop they were told I would have to wait 2 hours for the tire tech. In the end the same guy who turned me down looked at the tire and told me to run it.

I'm on my way to CA now. Didn't get as far as I wanted because of the drama this morning. I had a 4 minute window...you read it right, to pick up my load, lol. ya right. My deliver window was listed at 3 hours but really it's 24. I was told that as long as I keep accepting loads like this they will keep pushing me. I really need to rethink my strategy. They don't leave me anytime to stop and pee let alone eat.

Oh well, it will all get better when I get my disciplinary letter this week for curbing the tire. YES...tomorrow is a new day.
