.29x2500= $725
Let's say I make all three bonuses each month:
.32x2500= $800
Plus I'll get $150 tuition reimbursement each month
I know there's a lot of factors, good weeks and bad weeks....and taxes. -

hey hlaird i guess i'll be seeing you on the 7th. i'll be leaving for orient. sunday afternoon from atlanta. There is info on the physical on about the 4-5 page of this thread
-
the physical is the standard dot plus the pee pee sample.
got a pulse, not deaf or blind... good to go...
still there on the fifth day... your hired.
it's a job interview, take it serious and stay professional.
at my thingy it was two hours til a guy got canned... lmao
wearing a screwyou type t-shirt, which they made him change, then he is giggling i the second row behind the instructors back and whipped him the bird as the guy was turning around...
guy called him down it lightly, we had a smoke break, and when we came back the trainee was acting pissed and half in tears... I didn't want this stupid job anyways...
congratulations moron, you don't have to worry about it.... -

I never knew why the company didn't want you to unhook loaded trailers beyond the obvious... it could get stolen... duh... but I know a bunch of drivers were always whining about this policy so I asked around and...
it's a part of the shippers agreement/contract with the company.
and its fairly standard for high value freight... -
I went to TA's orientation. I've never been anywhere else but I thought it was pretty good. The hotel was good enough and they provide 3 meals a day. Out of 18 in a class 3 got sent home. One for high blood pressure, one for taking his prescribed pain killers, and one for putting down a bunch of addresses and actually living outside the hiring area. The first two could have been saved a lot of time and energy if TA just gave the physical in a person's hometown, but since they can save 10$ a week giving them in rural Indiana, they do. Instructors were friendly and down to earth, which was nice.
Now I'm out for my "minimum 21 log in days with an instructor" on the road. Last night we got to the terminal at 11:21pm and he wakes me up at 7:30am to go to a safety meeting that I've already went to in orientation. So instead of a 10 hour break he takes a 7 hour one and expects me to too. He's also done a good job of showing me how to cheat my log. Every 5 minutes I think about how much better it will be when I'm on my own. And this all after hearing over and over again from the orientation people "we have the best trainers right now, way better than it used to be" and "log it as you do it, stay legal and honest." It was all bs, as I suspected. At least we don't drive team, which I do like a lot. But I get 350$ regardless of if I cheat my logs or not, and he of course gets milage, so cheating and long hours we do. -
I really know how it is to be starting out with TCam. there really is ont thing you should really try not to let your traner do to you while you in the truck with him. dont cheat your logs till you are on your own. your only making 350 a week so why let him make all the money on you taking a chance with your logs. i know somtimes its really hard not to cheat them. but for your sake dont do it till after your on your own. i dont know if your traner showed you about the qualcom there are a few things you can do so that safty wont know if you are driving passed your 11 hours of your 14. all you need to do is turn your truck off for at less 15 mins that will do a reset on your hours. im not sure how it would work. but when i was driving for tcam thats what i was doing and i NEVER got any kind of log book violation. just remember dont let your traner make all the money off of you for driving while you cheat.

That's strange on the cheat thing. I never got a load that I couldn't make in plenty of time without cheating... one that was close I told them it was close before accepting it... got hung at the shipper for a long while, told them it wasn't going to happen...
they paid me my down time for the shipper... then layover time at the receiver.
most all of my loads came over the qualcom 50mph average + log breaks so it just wasn't an issue having to cheat.
although you could leave the house "late" and still get there on time... but that's a personal choice... ; )
