My apologies.. I said Ryan rd.. but I meant Dequindre. I haven't been to visit my parents in years so i've kinda forgotten the names. It's the next major road east of John R past the Red Oaks Water Park... I do believe thats Dequindre... and its north of 13 mile road maybe half a mile on the right.

Do most hotels allow truck parking?
mje Thanks this. -
Generally only if your a customer. I wouldn't say MOST but a good deal do. I stay away from the roach motels when I do get a room and generally look for a Marriott or Choice Hotel. Its usually more expensive but 1) its a tax writeoff and 2) i'm a hotel snob. Most name brand hotels have directories and websites that identify those with truck parking.Family rider and mje Thank this.

If they have room and you are a paying customer they do. Your upper end motels usually don't. There's a truck stop in Ellenton, FL that has zero truck parking but truckers can use the next door motel lot for $10 a night. I bet they split it.

I park at our terminal. Company policy, no choice. Just fine since El Paso, TX prohibits overnight parking of commercial trucks, trailers, buses, RV's on residential streets (off the street and in a driveway/or on private commercial or residential property is ok) and a truck would take up my entire driveway and my wife would kick my ### if she had to park in the street, lol.
Several truckers in my neighborhood park in an empty lot near Montana Ave/US62. Since the lot is technically private property and the owners of the lot would have to file a complaint (apparently the owner doesn't care), the cops leave them alone.mje Thanks this. -
