They just sent me an email to apply for a position in Tukwilla WA, 20Minutes outside Seattle, but after keeping up with this thread; the real questions are this.
Doc work? No mention of it in the job description advertized.
Overtime? This is a deal breaker as its impossible to live in Seattle at 80 x 16.13 which is after 45 days for city driver job. $1290 every two weeks. That might cover the Rent for a 3 Bedroom in the Hood...
I will apply and email the UPS lady back and ask those questions just to see; but I don't make under $2500 every two weeks unless I choose not too and thats at $15.00 an Hour and the cost of living is statistically 28.5% cheaper when compared to Seattle. If I can Get 70hrs a week or more then we might get a deal done. Thats $1451.70 + 1290.00 = 2741.70 Every two weeks.
$5483.40 Monthly
$65800.80 Yearly
Then it only goes up from there during your pay raises at the 2nd and 3rd year. You can't live off $2500 a month in Seattle that's poverty.
Source the email I was sent by the recruiter from UPS who invited me to put in an application. The pay for that Region is Starting Wage: $15.05/hr After 45 days: $16.13/hr After 1 year: $17.20/hr After 2 years: $19.35/hr After 3 years: $21.825/hr

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

-
I see a full time dock worker position open in a city I'm moving too.. x.x I just don't know if I can go from making 26.00 an hour to 15 an hour, even if the cost of living IS cheaper there. x.x

Are you applying for the city driver position? Road driver? or dock?
-
Its listed as city driver...
-
The city drivers are mostly out in the city but can work the dock as well to get more clock time. It all varies by location though. If things are slow in the city, they have a sign up sheet weekly for linehaul weekend work.
