Thanks for all of the good information. I think I am going to go with the tanker position. I should be starting training at the end of the month.

That's because there's a lot of scams out there. Windsmith has lucked out on his deal.

SNI is a good starting company, really good training. Good for a year or two but you'll make more elsewhere after that. It's nice to have an operating center pretty much everywhere too.

Do the tanker, you can always learn box, anywhere.

Funny I have the exact same question but somebody (send me back to Texas) already posted it. I'd just like to add Con-Way to that question as well. CR England became obvious with Indeeds 2.4 feedback not to many happy campers/truckers there.

Gotta second or third the tanker job.....you can pull a reefer, van , one an the same mostly....but tanker is to trucking....like surgery is to medicine...a specialty. Most CDL holders can pull a van , or reefer or , flatbed....but most don't have any tanker experience. Get a few good , safe years behind you pulling a tanker , and you'll never want for work.

Take the scientific approach. If everyone is saying you have luck on your side, buy a lottery ticket and invite Jessica Alba over for a sleepover in your arms. If you're married and lucky, your wife will understand and scoot over.

They are both good opportunities. Crete is a top notch company and most people that drive for them like them. Their turnover rate is low for such a large company. Crete only accepts students from certain accredited schools though so be sure to ask ahead of time about that.

The tanker gig is a good gig too. Like the other poster mentioned, its a good opportunity especially for a newbie and you can make pretty decent money. The only downfall in my opinion would be that you are driving for Schneider. Not a fan of the mega-carriers but at least they are one of the better ones. The good thing about that though is you will be able to take that tanker experience and get a good paying driving job anywhere you want.

Its your career and you have to decide what is going to be best for yourself. They are both good opportunities.

    Good luck to you...
