I got CDL Class A which company I should join?

I worked for YRC Logistics (non-union division) and it was a real good reefer outfit; think they sold the logistics outfit. YRC Freight is a truckload division running sleepers & would be good also. Which city and state do you live in?

Prime flatbed or tanker.

Interstate Distributor
System Transport

Work for the first company that hires you. Being new, you don't have any bargaining power.

 

I worked for conway for a few years and IMO it was a living hell, they tell you half of everything, good vacation time but u cant use it ever seniors first, good insurance but you have a starter ins for a year then have 4 plans to chose from yeah the good ins there talking is expensive, oh lets talk about the dock well your monitored on motor moves and how much you reweigh the freight, talk about a job that they seem to want to write you up for anything they can!Dont forget seatbelt on your forklift thats a write up!! 1 thing they care about and thats there numbers, load factors, weights, times and they even have a time limit for hooking a set of doubles thats 20 minutes!!Good safety there, yeah i think not!!!Basically new hires get trapped there cuz they love the hrly wage 5 years to get it but its$24.50 an hr ot after 8! You will work long days when u dont want to and when your tired they will push u harder!!!Morale there is garbage, seems like alot of pissed off people! Like i said thats my opinion few years working there recently and I was active in the company, lean team, safety team and vvt team, guess what still treated the same!!

 

oops I forgot to mention, I am currently at Saia and I love it!! Pays upper $19s to start and goes up a few bucks 18 month pay scale and great ins but ot after 45 but who really cares! I made more hrly at conway but my cost of ins for same plan saves me a$100 week so im in the positive still
