This is a bad apple who has only been in the trucking business for a few months and already has a bad reputation. The owner is terrible at paying it's drivers on time. One driver went 6 weeks without his pay!!! They sell you a dream and deliver nightmares. Driver home time is non existent, and drivers are run to death. Drivers sit for days sometimes and never any communication from dispatch or the home office. You are almost always in the dark here! He dispatches drivers when they are out of hours and forces loads. I got this all from a few drivers who worked for this guy and left once they saw how it does business. Brokers don't wanna work for them either so getting work is tough if you are hooked up with this company. The bad reputation they have is like a cancer that spreads. Do yourself a favor and when you see and ad for Black Jack Transportation out of San Antonio Texas STEER CLEAR AND FAR AWAY!!!!!

It is unfortunate that we cannot always hire the right people and also that we cannot always be excellent in our management. Because of this, we sometimes must ask people to leave. People who are asked to leave companies often do not have the level of high character to accept their termination with dignity and move on to something they are better at. Sometimes they choose to badmouth and do damage to those who delivered the message that they were not capable, instead of looking inside themselves to see what they had to do to make themselves better at their jobs and their lives.

Blackjack Transportation is a new company that has met all of the federal, state and local requirements to operate on our highway system. Drivers are in constant communication with the owner of the company, directly, and for the most part are content with their positions. Blackjack Transportation considers that hiring and keeping good drivers to be the most important aspect of the business. As the company grows, it is inevitable that the constant communication between drivers and owners will not be possible, but those who have worked with the company, through the hardships of start-up, will always be special to us.

Sounds like you have some special drivers that work there and I mean ones that rode the short bus to school. It takes a high level of something, if in fact there are drivers that go six weeks with no pay. Don't know if thats true, but if so that company will not be around long.

    SublimeJulian Thanks this.

Our drivers are few and from several walks of life. For the most part they are well trained, well experienced and educated. There is not one bit of truth in the rumor spread by a recently discharged dispatcher that " one driver went over six weeks without his pay".

Today, we added a driver who came highly recommended by one of our other drivers. Obviously, the driver felt good enough about opportunities at Blackjack Transportation, to recommend his friend. Another current driver has asked us to consider one of his long time friends. We agreed to do so.

I personally communicate with our drivers daily, and I listen to them. It is our drivers who insisted that the dispatcher that I hired was incompetent. It is our drivers who have let me know that their situation is better since the dispatcher was replaced.

I cannot stop people from saying whatever they want to say. Some people just have no regard for the truth, and rather than improve themselves, choose to bear false witness against those who understand their capacity, or lack thereof. There simply is no place in management of a truck fleet, small as it may be, for a person of weak character, lack of courage or poor work ethic.

Blackjack Transportation will be around for a long time.
