1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I've been off the road for about 9 years

most companies say i need to take a refresher course or go back to a full school, are there any companies that would work with me to get back on the road without going through all this? I have a clean driving and criminal record.

not that i know of or have even heard of. you would pretty much have to know somebody on the inside to skip a refresher course. plus since things have changed a bit , a refresher course might not be a bad idea for you. good luck. plus some companies will put you through a course to help you out.

Check out maverick. They will not require a refresher. I know you can not PM yet, but you can email me or YIM me if you want.

Mav is flatbedding, but they are the only one that I know of that will not require a refresher. That is one reason why I went with them. The other reasons was what I found out about them as I was looking at them.

I did not need a job when I went with mav. I was looking at companies like companies look at drivers. They had to meet my criteria for me to go with them.:biggrin_25525:

thats about what i figured. companies seem to pushing experience now a days and if no exp. then a refresher is required. i don't know but i am thinking some companies will help with refresher courses.
