I should be there April first week of May....what's the highest pay check you've had?? And my recruiter told me that you have to ride with a trainer for 5200 miles is that true??
-
If you have no trucking experience; that is true. If you will be out of the Savannah Terminal try and get Steve Pounder. He was my trainer and a great guy. Highest, $781.XX.

Ok will do but my recruiter told me that they try to get you a trainer close to your hometown...and how long do you think it would take to go 5200 miles with CT, she told me on average 3 to 4 weeks. How long do you think your going to stay with them
-
I'm getting back on the road, so call if you have anymore questions. I will lay it to you straight. First, I drove three hours from Florence to Savannah to meet up with my trainer, but I didn't really care. It took me five weeks, because I was with a day can trainer for two weeks. It should not take anymore than four weeks. I'm retired Navy, so my kids are starting to miss me more and more, so I can't say. I will not leave for another company, but if a more regular job (home nightly) came up I'd leave trucking and not look back. Call if you have more questions.

Ok I'll take it from here lol me and mph are in the same ballpark since we both started about a year ago, and I'm sure we've run into each other before haha, but I saw you asked about the Mocksville terminal which I run out of so I might have a little better perspective than a Savannah boy
For starters pulling out of Moc means you need to be ready to run north. We pull a LOT out of that Funder place he mentioned and in a years time I have had 1, ONE, single load that went to Duluth, GA and everything else northern VA and up. Next the office is kinda a mess right now since we lost our terminal manager to be a recruiter but the new guy is nice and all he just needs to get a feel for how everything is goes. Also, mph you too, I will NOT believe new trucks are coming until I see them with my own 2 eyes, and I don't mean those worn out Volvos from WSE that I keep seeing getting towed. Thats bout all I have to add for right now, I'll probably think of some other things later lol
mph1972 Thanks this. -
Since you pull of of the mocksville terminal do they get you home every weekend?? And where do you live?? How do they do with assigning you trainers?? Does your trainer stay close to your home or do they assign you a trainer from the terminal you'll be pulling out of??
-
I have been home every single weekend since I started, just don't screw up and miss a friday delivery or you'll be stuck. I live out in the Burlington/Graham area but my trainer lived in SC so we had to meet up at the terminal. Most new guys are out in 4-5 weeks but it took me 6 because my trainer is a bunch of words I cant say on here
