Retirement?-What's that!?-I sold my construction company in Alaska 3 years ago and about went crazy!-I'm driving winch/vac/hh in E. Montana-first time I've drawn an actual paycheck in years-loving every minute of it! It's like being a teenager all over again!
A couple of guys I grew up with were O/O's for KAPS-they had a yard about 30 miles from where I grew up in Ak. Prairie Boy-We probably know a lot of the same folks-I get up your way once in a while-I need to buy you a cup!

It's beyond me how Carlisle can have such a bunch of idiots running around with their name on the doors.

I like watching IRT and my opinion is based on what i see on tv. You get to know the drivers and somehow you form an opinion as to their calibre and personality especially when you can relate as a driver yourself.
I like Alex, i like his nature and the fact that he takes everything in his stride and i especially like his laugh, bwahahaha!
Hugh and his sidekick are two of the worst drivers i've seen, they have no respect for the trucks and i think even less for people and i don't like Hugh's fake laugh.
Jack seems the most sensible of the lot.
I guess most of the real drivers are behind the scenes though.

I like watching it too, mostly for the scenery. I have to constantly bite my tongue as far as a lot of the action goes. Watching Alex get out of his truck, walk down on the river ice, and say, yup, feels pretty good to me. Safe to cross. Really? Anyway I wanted to ask prairie boy and wymon if you ever came across any of these guys: Jim Livingston, Tommy Marshall, Jack Braithwaite, or Jim Malone back in those days.

Yes. ALL of them! Jim died while we were in Phoenix around Xmas in about 2006-7. Haven't seen Jack for a few years. The last company Jim had was Oilers Transport. When he retired he used to pilot my wide loads for something to do. I have coffee with his younger brother Frank. Tommy ??? It's been years since I've seen him.

I've lost track of so many people. By the way, I first met Jim Malone when he had a shop on 95 or 96 Street. Jim's Light Oilfield hauling and then he sold that to George Ross. Ross fired all the Owner ops so Jim gave them a hand by calling oil companies to help them out when they started Rebel Transport Ltd. Now Transforce own's rebel.
