My CDLA expires in June.... but im wanting to get my Hazmat and combinations Endorsements before June which is only 3 mo. away. Now if i get my endorsements now and get renew my CDLA in 3 months (have had CDLA since 2008 ) will I need to do the whole process on getting my endorsements also, or would I not have to since it's only been 3 months since I got my endorsements. Thanks for your expertise.

It may be different from state to state but, in New York if it's close to your renewal time they will have you renew it when you take the tests for the enodrsements. I would see if you could do it that way and save time since you're there taking tests anyway.

Most states, you can renew driver license 3 months prior to expiration, so, go now and get endorsements and renewal. If that's not the case in your state, get endorsements now, which will become part of your license, then renew your license, which only involves paying a fee and maybe a new photo. Ca. for instance, renews thru the mail for 2 five year periods without updating your photo.....that's if you have a clean record.
