Ive got a 05 9900ix with a 500hp isx in it. the fan engages shortly after start up and stays engaged constantly from then on. when i shut the motor off it will free spin for a few seconds then it lock in again to stop it. tried replacing the air valve on the firewall and it didnt change anything. ive got 4 fault codes showing but not check engine light. codes are 136:FO5 SID004_A, 136:F10 SID004_A, 136:FO5 SID009_A, 136:FO4 SID004_A. Anyone know what any of them mean?

Those are all ABS codes. The fan is ultimately controlled by the ECM. Because the fan clutch is engaging shortly after start up, and free wheels for a few seconds after shut down shows there is nothing wrong with fan clutch, solenoid or wiring to the solenoid. The a/c high pressure switch, and the fan override switch are inputs to the ECM and based on state of these the ECM will turn on the fan. I would guess your a/c high pressure switch is stuck open or has an open circuit. It also depends on whether or not your truck has an a/c APADS system or not to determine where and what type of high pressure switch you have. If you find a red coloured switch/sensor near the compressor you can unplug it and jump the connector with a paper clip to see if your fan stays off, then you have found your problem. If you have an APADS system then troubleshooting gets a little harder.
