where you taking them?

They were a 600 mile load to el paso bound for chihuaha . I should say they were an easy load but me not having a ton of experience tarping them made them a pain for me - probably be much much easier next time.
After I ran out of hours sitting on Friday I got deadheaded to laredo to sit for the weekend apparently . Really bad week this week , good thing I don't need the money. -
I got an app in with maverick but after reading this thread I'm now also thinking about Melton. Sounds like a good company. Do you have more good weeks than bad as far as pay is concerned?
-
Well, I guess I'll see you in the morning. I'm sitting outside the gate lol

I have a pre-hire for Melton. CDL school next month. A few questions:
1. After orientation I am guessing I will return to Tulsa to pick up my truck?
2. Is there a local drop yard near me in Cottage Grove, MN?
3. I am going to assume I bring truck home if no drop yard?
4. How difficult will it be to schedule home time being I live in MN? How would that look?
5. After I pick up my truck, will I be dispatched immediately or will I have the opportunity to get back to MN to "move into" my truck? How will that process look?

I'm assuming that's in the minneapolis area yes? You will be required to stayout 2 weeks before requesting home time. You can stay out however long you like tho. There are no drop yards in MN that I am aware of, so you will be taking the truck home with you. At least, as close to home as you can get. They will want to know where you will be taking it, if its secure and what not. Any truck stop near you? Or do you have land you can get it on?
You will most likely be having your orientation in masury oh, or possibly even in tulsa. Depending on your experience, they may or may not put you with a trainer for a bit. If not, you will get a truck wherever you have orientation, if they have one. Or you will be sent somewhere to get one, say there is a. Abandoned one or something. After orientation you will get a load and be sent on the road. They will try to get you home within a few loads to get the rest of your things. -
Gonna assume I will be DH most likely? I live just outside Minneapolis.

Where would someone who lives in Houston primarily run? I know Melton is 48 states but I've heard Texas is so big that area drivers typically stay in the area, is that true?
-
No. You run 48 unless you are on Texas regional. I don't get to Texas much normally
