Yuck, .38 cents a mile? Wats that like 200 bucks a day??

Last year (winter) I drove my first big truck with an Auto tranny .... It was a day cab AND it had Super Singles 'All Season' drive tires. That won't happen again as long as I can help it ..........

Backing onto the chains may be smart, but what if he meant the kid threw them in front and drove over them to get rolling up the hill?
-
Well if he rolled back and was spun out, I doubt he'd have enough traction to get on the chains. Just throw them and do up the outside rails enough to get you on the road properly and stop when the tires are a points where you can undo the chains and put them on properly. That always worked good for me and the first time I ever put them on was over 50 years ago.

Yep-works good to get out of a jackpot! By the way Prairie Boy-does Pioneer Alaska Express ring any bells?

Wymon Thanks this.

Name was changed to Alaska West Express or else Alaska West took over the ICC Authority# 118445. http://safer.fmcsa.dot.gov/query.asp Now have a look at this picture and the ICC # on the bottom of the door. http://www.pbase.com/image/132511177
