Maybe I'm the only one but does anyone else get tired of sitting in an OC listening to other drivers ##### and moan about their job? My 18 month old doesnt cry as much as some of these guys. Last night I listened to a guy cry like a baby about his truck, miles, loads and performance rating. The whole time I'm thinking "if you aren't happy then leave." Now I'm sitting here (in the TV room) listening to a guy make threats of quitting if he doesn't get better loads. He said "I'm telling my DBL she has one more year to improve my situation or I'm quitting!" He goes on to say that having a 3 1/2 hour window for delivery is affecting his ETA, NAT and bonus. Really? I've only been with schneider a few months and my ETA's and NAT's are #### near 100%. I guess you just have to know how to plan. Honestly though, there are drivers lined up to hop in these trucks. I doubt any threat he makes to his DBL is ever going to work in his favor. I dont know, I may be talking out of my ### but I'm getting plenty of miles. Maybe its because my DBL knows I am a producer of positive results. Anywho, those are my thoughts for this morning.
Wait, I do have one minor gripe. There should be alternative ways of receiving loads assignments so one does not have to sit in his truck all day. Maybe a text message, email or any other means of communication. Thanks for reading! Tread lightly!

ask your dbl if they will text you. You can also go to the fuel desk and ask periodically to look you up.HotH2o Thanks this.

My DBL is off on weekends but I will check with the fuel desk. Thanks!

A whole year huh?

All our dbl's are off on weekends. lol They got a couple DBL's in the office to handle all the weekend jumble. And when I say couple....I really mean 2 or 3 lol Best time to call is early in the morning before all the other drivers wake up on the weekends.

Even if they text it to you, by the time they see your preassignment and to notify you, most likely you've seen it already. I always either get a preassigment way ahead before I even deliver or already unloading at the customer. If I don't get a Pre within the hour of me being at the customer, I move to the nearest truck stop or OC which max most times is 5-10 minutes away.

from the sounds of it , HotH2O was in the OC hanging out while on a 34.

Unfortunately I'm not. I had a 15 mile relay this morning that I dumped off. I just received my next assignment for tomorrow morning. Nice little 600 mile run. If the shipper and receiver can load and unload me in a timely manner i can avoid a reset next week.
It's too bad we can't access our preassignments through crossroads. I try not to bother the weekend shift. I try to fly under the radar.
On a side note, I ran into a guy I was in orientation with. He's already had two preventables and went through a round two of orientation. I'm surprised they haven't fired him. He had a tough time during the first round of orientation. -
That's exactly what I was thinking. I month or less would probably have more pull......if any

I was thinking the same lol Anyone else notice Fontana having trouble with their gate system. Took a good 15 minutes for them to open the car gate a couple weeks ago before I started my tour...
