Mack doesn't even make an OTR sleeper truck. Do they? -

I didn't mention Mack since you would run into the same problems with running Volvos. OOPS, wait a minute, they are part Volvo! All kidding aside, ever since Mack stopped producing their own engines, I haven't really paid attention to them, and during the transition to EGR style diesels they really suffered badly.
My buddy has an older Vision that runs like a watch ( pre emission ) and has been a really good truck. I just don't trust the hybrid Mack/Volvo engine especially with the limited service points.
I wouldn't want our brother to get caught with a dog pound that would eat him out of house and home

Love my 780 but I would drive it off a cliff for a 379 lol

Yea I agree with ya... But I couldn't read the thread without saying anything lol. I run a 2012 505hp mp8 Mack and I love it... But I also run local and there's a Mack shop right on my route about a half hour from the farm... And it's been there a few times in the 10,000 miles that's on it. To defend the truck tho its only been 3 or 4 minor problems... It's just been to Mack a few times for those same problems. We have 2 of them now and they've been all around good trucks so farLonesome Thanks this.

If you don't run CA maybe a Coronado glider, spec it how you want with a rebuilt pre-emission Detroit? I really like those trucks and would prefer it to the POS Volvo I bought but since I pull a reefer out west I have to be "CARB-ed".

Macks today are no more "THE Mack of Yesteryear" as Cameros today are Cameros of the 70's
Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this.
