Looks like tire flex on the crane started most of this ? Dogging her down a little better has already been said . And once she started rocking it affected the trailer. A beam trailer would have been best. Drop her down and take the tires out of the mix. If the driver saw that , you can bet he dogged her down a extra link or two t the next stop.

I wonder if maybe the air bags are somehow under inflated making the overall support "soft" ... or perhaps more bags (axles) than necessary making them soft? Or are there bag levelers on each side of those heavy-haul trailers and maybe the bag levelers are fighting amongst themselves? I don't know but what I do know is I've seen plenty of cranes that size and bigger going down interstates and not swaying like that.

Call me crazy but I would haul it on a beam before on the deck, I know that it is a pain but loading any rubber that heavy and high is not to my liking.

I would have rather seen this load on a beam trailer too. But even on a beam trailer, a load like this would sway. Sure, the center of gravity would be much lower, but it has a much thinner surface to rest on. It would still sway. And those 4s didn't slow down behind the load, they slowed and matched speed right beside him. Only the camera vehicle didn't match speeds beside him. If you think that's a natural reaction, you are correct. It is still the wrong reaction. Braking, bottling up traffic next to an oversized load is worse thing to do. If there was going to be an accident, it would have been caused by the 4s.

Its normal. If you haul heavy, it happens. If you haul heavy in Calif, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
