I have had many tickets for many things with many different licensed states and in all circumstances nothing lasted longer than 10yrs on paper..

Fees were paid right away.. It could even have longer then 15 years. I really can't remember. I just know they were paid right after it was suspended. I was young and stupid but needed to be legal to drive.

If you got it all squared up, and have been mindful of your driving record since, you're good.

Get your own H6 printout, if its on there (I doubt it is) then ask DMV to do a purge of your MVR ....that will take it right off........to answer your question though.... No it won't be a problem.

a suspension SHOULD in a worst case scenario stay on your record for 13 years.....sometimes they fall in the cracks though and need to be manually purged from an MVR by someone at DMV.

I agree totally. But his prospective company isn't gonna care much why he didn't know he was suspended for years. A long suspension will still probably cause more trouble than a short one, regardless of the reason.

As long as you paid the fine and had your license reinstated, it's no big deal. To look at the bright side, it's not a DUI.

    *cough*

Probably not a problem. Many years ago Arizona had this immoral setup where you must pay your fine BEFORE you could contest it. You were guilty before you could prove your innocence. So if you could not pay your fine you were automatically guilty. No contest. So I became a scofflaw for several years. No license, no insurance, no accidents. (Not recommending it, just a youthful retaliation to injustice.) Then I moved to another state and got a license there. Years later when I moved back to Arizona they gave me no problem about it and I eventually got my CDL there.

i still have a suspension that was to go 5 years which ends in sept of this year in one state. I live in another state for last 2 years and have moved back and forth 3 times in the last 3 decades so when i moved here i basically got my old liscense back from last time i lived here. The state showing my suspension does not come up on my Dmv record in the state i am in now. The state dmv here says im ok to get a cdl because of this and i have been checked by a trucking company that says i have a job when i complete school. I know I cant drive in that state and have had this liscense. I am a military veteran with 3 dependants and construction is so slow I cant barely get by.My question is does any1 see a problem that may arise for the next 6 mo. till i get the other state to lift my revocation and cancel that liscense out? I will hopefully be going to school next week or two if I get cdl permit. thanks for any help yall may give. I know I can wait the 6 months and get rid of suspension but times are hard and I need a livable wage.

In the end it is YOU who has to find out what the real situation is. That is what I did. It may be that if you drove through that state with their suspended license that you would be held liable. But if you drove through that state with an out of state license unsuspended that you would be OK.
