I'm digging my own grave here....
-
ACH, why you digging your own grave? That's to much work! I've been breaking and building a lot of sets too. Really slows me down sometimes and irritates me too. Hey it's money though.
Ga400, Good luck to you. I work for USF Reddaway but I think Holland does things a little different. I don't know much about them. Should be about the same as being hired by any of the YRC companies. If you passed your road test and drug test, you should be good to go. Reddaway put me to work as soon as my drug test came back. I was working while they were doing my background check and calling my past employers! Never had that happen before. -
i passed the drug test and physical, the lady said shes waiting on my background check, but its already been 4 weeks since i did the drug test and stuff, ill be taking the road test next tuesday,

lets just say the gf was getting mad at me... especially when she came up al week, did our "business" then she would make food, clean then leave. i told her id take her out this thursday and with my attention span of a goldfish I forgot a few days later and made plans with my friends... although I still took her out like promised after i got an earful for forgetting, she was cool enough that after we went out she said ok if you want to hang with them go ahead, so i convinced her to hang out as well, and me being me lets just say I did get yelled at a few times... nothing bad, just making an idiot of myself

My friend had an interview, then a road test, and they started him the next day. He told me he called his job and couldnt even give a 2 weeks. but he wasnt working so it didnt matter. -

So far all is well, despite a need for a bottle-a white out for my paperwork.
Paper logs I'm used to - the YRC paperwork - not so much. It'll come.
Everything is as was explained during the interview. Gotta like that.
Did 69.5 hours, Probably 3 or 4 of those from newbness.
Love to work. Hope it keeps coming. Freight season is right around the corner in the northeast.
Extremely thankful to have a very good job at age 55 in the middle of a recession. -
Welcome Bucky. Nice to meet a fellow 'Noob' that is my age. lol Your opinion mirrors mine. I've been with them for a year now & still love it. Boy have I learned ALOT! Still alot to learn I'm sure. Just woke up from my rest, waiting for the call, later...
